Welcome to the first Friday Firsts posting. Normally, I'll have guest posters who will post the first five lines of their most recent release, plus answer some fun "first" questions.
Today, I'm posting. It would be weird to ask myself questions, so I'm just going to post the first five lines of my book, Borrowed Stilettos.
If you're an author and would like to be my guest in the future, let me know in the comments or email me. My email addy should be in the column on the right.
FIRST FIVE SENTENCES: Audrey Thompson pushed aside her nerves as she slammed the car door, and strode across the cobblestone driveway toward the Banister family mansion. Her ankles wobbled in the borrowed heels and she stumbled, flailing her arms for balance. Her gaze darted around the Sun Valley estate. She was alone, thank goodness. Unfortunately, the movement had dislodged one of her fake boobs.
Borrowed Stilettos is available at online bookstores, including here, here and here.
LOL, that last line is awesome! Great characterization in just a few short sentences. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ciara. It was a really fun story to write.
